Question: i am 19. i hate my dorm toilet. it stinks. i don't like using it. three weeks ago to constipate myself i drank very less water and then at the weekend i went home and drank bottle of water to move my bowels, it worked, i have done the same thing second time, at week end i went to home and tried to have a BM after drinking water but nothing came out.i waited for two days.and went to a friend(she is a nurse) she inserted forceps and removed hard stool, i got severe tummy pain and had a bm, i have done the same thing last weekend, got constipated and went to her for help, instead of helping me she has advised me to go to physician and then she warned me not to mess with bowels. i have taken an enema yesterday i am having runs since then, i really hate that toilet and i wont use it anyway. how to hold my poop in for a week and still have a bm with out enema or any other medication ? i don't have any psychiatric problem, you will do the same thing if you see those toilets !

You will destroy your intestines if you do that. Learn to deal with the smell. Constipating yourself and giving yourself diarrhea will mess up your intestines and you will have major problems when you are home for awhile. Try all the bathrooms on campus and find one that doesn't stink. the nurse is right - you can have a severe blockage that will require surgery. Don't use enemas either - they can become addictive and dehydrate you. Eat fruit, veggies, whole grains. Drink water, eat bananas, drink prune juice. I think you have a psychiatric problem and need counseling. You sound OCD.

Hmm yes maybe see a dr, keep hydrated squat over toilet don't sit on it. Also try taking a fist and slowly but firmly turn the fist like a massage on the abdomen, try and trace the colon / intestines

Well, I would make sure you are eating 100% whole grain foods such as cereals, pastas and breads. Not to mention, enough fruits and vegetables. Drinking enough water is very important, too. Additionally, I recommend Fiber Sure. It's a white powder fiber that dissolves completely, even in a glass of water or juice. You can put in foods, too. And, you can use it every day. It's high in fiber and a probiotic which helps maintain the healthy bacteria in your intestinal tract. Exercise, especially walking around is helpful. People that sit too much tend to experience more constipation than active people. I always found drinking caffeinated coffee in the morning seemed to help get me going, also. It worked for my dad, too. But, it doesn''t necessarily work for everyone. It would only be worth it though if you really enjoyed some java in the morning.
