Question: I'm trying to eat healthier but I often find it difficult because I'm going to school and working and don't have the time to make anything, and I often find myself eating unhealthy junk food. not counting sleeping time I spend about 2 1/2 to 3 hours at home. and eat most of my meals either at school or at work. so what are some quick, microwavable or pre cooked foods that someone with a peanut, tree nut, and shea butter allergy can eat? and how do I keep myself away from the junk food?!

at least with subway and other types of healthier eating, you still have to watch what you order. If you put mayo or even cheese, you can still have problems! I can't eat tuna made with mayo, thankfully I don't mind it "dry". I will eat in moderation diary products, I still have problems even if I don't eat that item for a while! Good luck, but eating fruits and veggies that are already packaged will be a big plus in making healthier food choices. Make a list of what you like, pick a day say a Sunday when you seem to have a little more time in your schedule (it can be any day you don't have much planned) and buy items that you can freeze also. Make meals for an entire week and then freeze smaller portions to take with you later in the week. It will take work to find out what works best for you and a lot of patience to get it to where you are eating healthier; it doesn't happen overnight! Best of luck!

I don't go to work or school, but we are always busy. My husband works pretty long hours usually and I am usually driving the kids to auditions or rehearsals or lessons or performances or whatever, so we have learned how to eat healthy and fast. We eat a lot of pastas and salads. Salads are easy to put together, just throw some lettuce in a bowl, add all of you favorite vegetables, a little dressing, some cheese, and some grilled chicken. It is easy and delicious. While you are preparing the salad, you can be cooking the chicken, which is really easy. Same with pastas, it is super easy to boil some wate rand throw whole wheat pasta in. Then add some delicious sauce, vegetables, and maybe some meat. Put some whole wheat bread or vegetables on the side and you are set. I found that it is helpful to, whenever I have extra time, cut up veggies, portion things out, make sauces, etc, so that when i am ready to cook, it is as simple as possible. I also will make some frozen dishes like lasagna, freeze them, and pull them out to cook whenever I need to. You can throw veggies and meat in there to keep it healthy. We eat a lot of vegetables in our house, and fruit. When we are really short on time, I will put some grilled chicken or tukey on whole wheat bread and pile on the veggies. Then we grab some fruit and we are ready. We try to mix it up. The meals may not be as extravagant and interesting as they used to be, but we do what we can with our limited time to cook and prepare meals.
