Question: any advice of how to lose 30 lbs. in 3 months would be much appreciated.I'm 5'11' and weight 215 lbs right now.pls help

If you want to lose weight, you need to two things: eat less and exercise more. Weight gain happens when you create a calorie surplus (eat more than you burn). Your body takes the excess calories and converts them to fat which get stored around your stomach, arms and thighs. The longer you remain in a calorie surplus, the more weight you'll gain. To lose that weight, you need to do the opposite. You need to create a calorie deficit (start eating less than you burn). Your first step is to figure out how many calories you burn on a daily basis. It sounds a lot easier than it is but making small changes helps you adjust to a new lifestyle. Don't think of this as a diet, think of it as a new life. Instead of eating foods high in sugars, white flour and saturated fat, go with fruits, vegetables, whole wheats, fish, lean meats, nuts and beans. In addition to eating less, you also need to exercise more. Start off at 1-2 times per week and work your way up to 3-5 times per week. If you are doing heavy weight training you have to eat. Im not sure what look you are going for, but if you want to look bigger and more muscular you have to eat alot of food. Not junkfood and bs like that like, eat things like hard boiled eggs, low fat choclate milk, tuna(tons of tuna,2cans a day min.), chicken breast, beans, rice. If you eat alot of that stuff and work with heavy weights you will get the results you want. Another great thing is protein powder, and go pickup some 50mg DHEA pills from GNC for 7bucks.

Start on Weight Watchers. I loved it and it really taught me how to eat right without depriving myself. Losing 30 lbs in 3 months is a tall order, but if you follow Weight Watchers and, most importantly, EXERCISE you might be able to do it. Remember to exercise -- that is key. It will help you lose weight so much faster and you'll feel better too!

Ok, I personally believe that the key to losing weight and staying healthy is to have a lot of physical activity. Don't worry so much about what you eat (i mean, eat healthy, but it's not that important). Just start out by walking like 3-4 miles a day. Then step that up after like a week or two, then start exercising a lot. Physical activity is the key.

What Kathy said is a good idea. I joined WW and have already lost over 30lbs (but it did take me over 4 months). If felt like it took a long time, but I still lost over 30lbs! I followed the Core Plan on WW. Healthy food choices and excercise MUST happen together. You have to do both and diligently, every day. Most importantly, take it slow. I only lose about 1lb a week, but those "minor" lbs have now really added up. Plus, the slower you take it off, the harder it is to regain it.

10 pounds a month? Well, the first month will be easy, the second month harder and the third month almost impossible. My friend bought the guys plan that use to be on Extreme Makeover, I forget his name Michele something... any way, in that program it list the things you are suppose to do for your body type. Like every body type has to lose weight differently. We have two different body types and we both did it and lost a lot of weight. She didn't have any red meat in her diet and I had a lot of red meat in mine. Try it. Michele something is his name. I would look up Extreme Makeover and you'll get his last name.

you can burn around 600cals in 1.5 hours of freestyle swimming / treading. 3 x a week or more will be good for your heart. eat this: and you will lose weight for definite :) breakfast- apple as soon as you wake up, 15mins later- 1 serving of porridge with 1% or skimmed milk with small handful strawberries (or any other berries) + splenda / cinnamon to taste? lunch- 30g uncooked weight of brown rice 1 serving vegetables eg mixed veg / broccoli*** VERY good for weight loss & salad consisting of cucumber, lettuce, peppers raw, celery + NO dressing. 1 serving protein eg- quorn or legumes or fish. dinner- same as lunch but, have the salad before your meal, the raw food helps fill you up therefore you'll be satisfied with less. snacks in between meals: raw carrot sticks, or apples or PLAIN rice cakes with maybe seasonings and quark spread? or cottage cheese or fat free yoghurt. limit your tea / milky coffee, and you can have black coffee but drink more water. around 8-10 250ml glasses. healthily you can lose 1-2.5lbs a week so you can potentially lose 10lbs in 1 month :) maybe more which would only be from water weight. i'd day around 12 lbs max. good luck :) x also maybe have water with fresh lemons in the morning :) helps clear your system out and aids digestion.
