Question: Before you start telling me not to smoke weed and stuff like that, I'm not. I was just curious if it's possible to lose weight because of weed? How does it affect you? Please only answer if you have actually done pot and know from experience. Thanks

Generally speaking, marijuana increases apatite and may result in weight gain. If for some reason you do not get 'the munchies' on marijuana, it might increase your metabolism by speeding up your heart rate. It does raise blood pressure and heart rate even though it has some qualities of a depressant. There are two primary strains of marijuana (plus a few obscure ones), notably Sativa and Indica varieties. Indica marijuana is more depressant and will result in more hunger and reduced activity. This kind of marijuana is best used in medicine for pain management and to help cancer patients gain weight and fight off nausea. It also has anti-inflammatory properties for people with Multiple Sclerosis. Mostly it makes you gain weight. Sativa is more stimulating than Indica. You can tell the difference because Indica has a musky foresty smell while Sativa has a sweet almost fruit like smell. no definitely not! when you smoke weed, it makes you want to chow down on everything in sight... otherwise known as The Munchies. very good way to give yourself paranoia though.
