Question: If I jog 1.28 mile to and from a store, and I do that on Tuesdays and Thursdays along with strength training 1 hr Mondays and Wednesdays... and I jump rope//jumping jacks//trampoline//pogo stick or something depending on what I feel like doing on Fridays and Saturdays, will I lose weight? I'm 5'2'' 149 lbs and trying to get down to 130. along with healthy eating, and 1 "cheat day" every week on the weekends

Try interval training. Its better for weight loss. Your body gets used to jogging at a consistent pace, so try intervals. Meaning sprinting for 30 seconds then walking/jogging for a minute or so. Any length of interval is good, however the longer you can sprint the better.

In short yes. BUT, what are you eating? If energy in is greater then energy out, you will gaining weight. Only when - energy in < nrg out! Think of a muscle car! what burns more fuel? driving through the city or through the open roads at a constant speed- .... right! Through the city. Because you use more energy stopping and starting and continuously changing intensity / speed. So the quickest way to lose weight is interval training. ie. Jog for 500 meters then sprint for 50mtr. Stop and do some push ups some step ups, then jog again (try not to rest in between). This will use your hole body, to help you tone up. It also uses a lot of fuel as you start stop, change muscles used, and change speeds. Keep in mind as you get fitter, you will need to up-it. as in run further / faster / more often. Good luck!

I would say...When you are jogging throw in random 20 second sprints, they keep your metabolism pumped and it'll make you lose more weight quicker. Everything you said is a workout item, but it all depends on how long, and how much...try switching from each thing, get motivation and make a workout plan, jog for 10 mins, do twenty jump ropes, 15 jumping jack, and keep switching, itll get ur heart beat going more.

The exercising with DEFINITELY help with losing weight & fat. But to keep it up, you need to start eating healthy. Try to cut out ALL junk food, it is useless calories that you do not need! Eat chicken, preferably grilled chicken, saves you some calories & nasty grease. Try salad, without dressing, it adds fat. Start eating fruits and vegetables daily. No more soda, if you cannot do that, drink diet soda. Lots of water. Last thing, absolutely NO fast food!!! Good Luck!!

yes! jogging (or running) is one of the BEST ways to lose weight. it tones your legs and your core, is great for your heart, and burns a lot of calories and fat! i would suggest jogging 5x a week how long can you jog now? i wouldn't worry about miles, but time. try to run for 20 minutes your "first week". go at a comfortable pace, so you can go the entire 20 minutes but you also feel tired after the 20 minutes. after the first week, jog for 25 minutes. the third week, 30 minutes, and so on. if you get tired during the jog, slow down your pace, try not to stop unless you absolutely have to. you should walk before and after your jog, and stretch for a good 10 minutes after you finish. the days you aren't jogging, i suggest walking for 60 minutes to keep your body moving and active. if you want to lose 10 lbs in a month, you will also have to eat healthy too. some tips: -stay away from soda and other sugary drinks, fried/fast/junk food, and desserts -stay VERY hydrated and drink water throughout the day. some people lose weight just by drinking more water, believe it or not. water boosts your metabolism level, it keeps you full inbetween meals so you won't snack much, and it's even good for keeping a clear face. -healthy snack ideas: low fat yogurt, string cheese, almonds, apple with peanut butter, granola bar, etc -don't deprive yourself! allow yourself to have one treat once a week, maybe an ice cream cone every friday for having a healthy and successful week! goood luck!!
