I had a friend who tried it multiple times, without good results. The food doesn't look very appetizing to me either. I think weight watchers has the best idea, and you don't have to buy their food, just normal groceries. It's basically portion control, so you really don't need to join a diet plan, you can do it on your own at no cost (unless you need the addtl support of a group and going to weigh-ins). My mom is a type 1 diabetic and when she stayed with me for recovery after an accident, her diet plan is basically the same as weight watchers ... eat small amounts throughout the day (it maintains sugar levels, and keeps you from feeling hungry). While caring for my mom, I lost about 5 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks without even trying, and kept it off. Also, drink lots of water. Here's a sample of a weight watcher type of day (there are lots of other ideas/substitutes, I can send you a chart via email if you want - or try clicking this link to see both sample menus I posted on my 360 acct http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dfitz0321/detail?.dir=/2eeascd&.dnm=685fscd.jpg&.src=ph ): Breakfast: 2 whole-grain waffles w/ 2 tsp jam 1 cup fat free milk (I use 1%) 1 piece of fruit Snack: 1/2 whole-grain bagel w/ jam OR 3/4 c nonfat yogurt w/ 1/3 cup fruit Lunch 3 oz water packed tuna, 1 TBS mayo on 2 slices w/w bread, 2 slices tomato, unlimited carrot & celery sticks Snack: 1 cup fat free milk, 4 low fat cinnamon grahams, 1 tbs pnut butter Dinner: 3 oz grilled skinless chicken breast, drizzled w/ 2 tsp italian dressing, 1 cup steamed brocoli, 1/2 large bell lpepper, 1/2 baked sweet potato Snack: 1 banana other snack ideas/substitutes: 1/2 whole grain bagel w/ jam, 12 c cottage cheese w/ 1/2 cup cantaloupe chunks; 1 pear & 1 c milk; 1 oz low fat string cheese; PS: I have 2 diet menu charts I could email to you if you want ... or I tried posting one on my 360 acct (link below) if you want to try seeing it there :-) if it's too small, just right click and copy it to your own word doc so you can enlarge it.

Nutri-system IS a diet. I joined that many years ago, when they first started up. It worked very well. They provide the food and it gets expensive.

Yes, in my experience it does work. You MUST follow the diet though. Once your meal plan is over (how ever many weeks you purchase) you are on your own and have to make healthy choices on your own. I have found that if you eat 6 small healthy meals, including snacks, and add exercise, you can get the same results and teach yourself to live a healthy lifestyle. I have struggled with weight all my life so I do understand. good luck to you

Yes, it does, some of the food was good, some sucked. I felt the breakfasts were awful. The pasta based meals were good. I lost about 15 pounds in a month. But could not afford it.

My aunt used it. Tried all the popular diets. Never lost the weight. But she has no self-control. But then, I eat one small plate of food, she heaps a pile of food on a big plate. Then when she's done, goes back for 2nds and then half a 3rd helping. I'm thin. She's big. You thumbers: I'm not lying or exaggerating. Her daughter can eat an entire medium pizza in one sitting--when she was 12. Me? 2 slices max. Just try this. Eat 2 oranges for breakfast and switch to coke zero or diet dr pepper. That'll cut 600-900 calories right out of the day.

Well, you had a run down of your profile. You said you want to lose weight. I think you need to add another info on here: your waist size. As most males store fat on the gut, this is also a good checker of fat stored in the body. Thus sometimes weight is not that big of a factor (as your weight is close to the ideal actually, for your height.), it might also be that you have a heavy bone structure. And I do not know your fat ratio. So I cannot determine whether you have more fat or muscle. Do you really need a weight loss pill? (this is only if you feel you are chubby...) otherwise concentrate on protein powders. (I guess for muscle gain, any good protein powder will do. Just check at the label for its fat and carb content.) I mean, you might save money if you just concentrate on muscle gainers and just bide your time. Sooner you will lose fat (hey, you only had 2 months anyway.) so no need to burn fat fast, unless you need to rush, like you have a modeling gig to do. But if you have enough money for both, go ahead. You might also want creatine for cellular growth and power. Why do you do the biceps first? Note that you need your biceps for chest, back & shoulders. Do those first, they are bigger muscle groups. If you exhaust your biceps you will get tired fast and you will have a weaker chest workout. I also notice that you do biceps but you have no triceps workout. Look in any workout website for a good triceps program for you. Or just google: triceps workout. With such number of repetitions, I infer that you only use light weights here. I can probably make a suggestion. You can vary your work out if you are able to have heavier weights. On some days, have a heavier chest exercise for say 3 sets of 10 and lighter exercise for other body parts. Then the next exercise day, do light on the chest and heavy on another body part. As a male, heavier workout or a more intense workout will make the muscle grow even bigger. Do only a weight that you can be able. Do not go heavier than you can handle - it's an injury-prone scheme. As another suggestion, you might also want to add to your diet: eat 6 or more egg whites (do not eat more than 1 whole egg a day, it is high in cholesterol.) But the egg whites have no chol. but is high in protein. Of course, all your effort will be hampered if you do not have a good diet. Just stay off fatty & salty foods. Some people do the intense weight training on one day and do longer period of aerobic/cardio exercise on another. So if you have time, 2-3 days of workout and another day of cardio only (say jog 20-30 min.). Do 5 min of jogging before the workout. Goodluck, just have patience. Soon you will see the results of your hard work. It is nice to look in the mirror and appreciate your nice new body. ©
