Question: i was recently given a diet from a friend whos roomie at school lost about 30 lbs over a few month period. its called the maker-over diet but not that one everyones talking about by that michael guy... a nutritionist gave it to her. on one side it lists stuff you can eat under a column labled "to lose weight" then on the toher side it gives a lsit of food you cant eat under "to gain weight". it says you can eat everythign on the "loose weight" side as much as u want throughout the day. its a very strict list you arent even allowed to eat apples or bannanas or any potatos, or bread whatsoever. u are basically only allowed to eat veggies(excluding potatos) and fruits (excluding bananas, apples, grapes, peahes, oranges and pears) basically melons, pineapples ands tuf flike that. the only meat you asre allowed to eat is chicken, fish, turkey, tuna and eggs. how long do you think it will take me to begin seeing results with this diet if i follow it without cheating? thanks!

Are you sure you want to try it?A fad diet produces rapid weight loss but does not guarantee it will stay off. Sometimes you may feel cheated or starved. Considering that apples are good for health-especially fiber-, oranges provide vitamin C and the others have their own benefits, I would question it.Apples, grapes and oranges are a great energy combination;bananas are a good mood lifter too.Expect 2lbs a week if it is not faddish.Walking is great. When I lived in New York city I walked to/ from Grand Central(8thAve) to/from the library (34th) daily for two weeks and lost 5-6lbs easily.Hope this helps.

This is basically a low carb diet. 1 - 2 pounds per week is the average amount of weight lost. You may loose a few more but don't expect to lose 10 pounds or anything crazy like that in one weeks time.

sound like the south beach diet. you should see some results in about 2 weeks, however if this is your friends diet it might not work fo you. look into the south beach diet. i did it and it worked great!
