Question: I don't know how exactly how to phrase this but, what are some good tasting and good for you foods. Could you please put the directions and ingredients on your directions. I really want to start to eat a little bit healthier. Thanks!

if you like fish Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes Ingredients: 1 large clove garlic grated rind of 1/2 lemon juice of 1 lemon salt and pepper 1 cup dry white wine 1 1/4 lbs. monkfish or other solid white fish olive oil for frying 2 tbsp capers lemon slices for garnish (optional) Preparation: Serves 4. In a large frying pan with a heavy bottom, fry fish in approximately 1/4-inch olive oil, browning on both sides. While the fish is frying, make the lemon sauce. Grate the lemon rind onto a plate. Juice the lemon. Set both aside. Peel and crush garlic in a mortar and pestle and add the lemon rind, salt and pepper and mix, making a paste. Add lemon juice and stir. Pour the lemon sauce and wine into the frying pan with the fish. Turn down fish and allow to simmer on low until the sauce is reduced a bit. Add capers to the pan and stir. Turn off heat. Remove fish from pan and place on plates. Spoon sauce over the fish and serve with rice or fried potatoes.

I love to make stir fry vegetables and chicken. It is extremely good for you, low fat, and very easy to make. All you have to do is put a little water, soy sauce, and uncooked chicken in a Wok (or large frying pan). Cook the chicken. Then, place what ever vegetables you like in wok. Stirring constantly, cook the vegetables until they are tender. Add a little pepper and you have a delicious, easy, meal. Don't be afraid to experiment and use shrimp, fish, meat, etc. in stir fry. You can also use different seasoning (not just soy sauce). :)

The are gaining weight for the same reason you would gain weight if you had every meal at McDonalds. It's not healthy weight, it's weight from eating too much junk and carbohydrates. But since they are addicted to their junk food, you have to wean them off slowly. Get a better (but not premium) food from the pet store and mix 1/4 new food and 3/4 old. Two good ones to try are Petsmart's Authority and any Nutro or Max Cat food. Gradually increase the amount of the new food. Once you have them eating all of the new kind, switch to a bit better brand like Blue Buffalo or Natural Balance. Still with some grains but getting better. Mix like you did before. Then go with one of the grain free. Eliminate the ever-flowing food bowl and feed them at three scheduled times. Worst case you are permanently stuck with a mix of the junk and the original type, but that's better than all junk. Try one canned meal a day for them - that's even better still (as an all dry diet is now linked to such feline disorders as diabetes, obesity, constipation, kidney disease, and urinary tract disorders).
