I know people say don't take diet pills, but I am proof that they really work. I took phentermine, which is generic for adipex, it suppressed my appetite and I lost 20 pounds in one month and then I started exercising using total body gym and tae-bo boot camp for a grand total of 60 pounds and I have kept it off and have never felt better!!!! I can offer you my testimony to a really healthy way of eating. I lost 10 lbs the first 2 weeks and my fiance lost 26 in the same to weeks. The medical staff that was supervising said it was because he had more wieght to loose. We didn't increase our excercise although it might have increased the weightloss some. This is it: Drink at least 8 full glasses of a any non nutrient beverage daily and only drink non nutrient beverages. That means they should be the equivalent of water, zero all the way down the label. Only eat whole grain (first ingredient has to be WHOLE GRAIN) pastas and breads and only in moderate amounts. Everything that has a label on it (basically anything, but fresh produce and meat) should be 10 Grams or less sugar/serving and 15% or less fat. You can find the percent of fat by dividing the "calories from fat" by the total number of "calories/serving." Your veggie to meat ratio should be 2:1 and your serving of meat should never be bigger then your hand. Eat every 2 hours 6 times a day, 3 healthy snacks & 3 healthy meals. Also no corn, potatoes, or bananas. But popped corn and potatoe chips are okay as long as you choose those that meet the other requirements. You probably will not loose as much weight as you are hoping to that quickly, but I promise that if you do this diet you will lose enough to see a difference. Sometimes people overestimate what they need to loose in order to look the way they would like to.

The short answer is to cut calories and workout 4-6 days a week. I've been eating 5 healthy small meals a day and working out 4 or 5 days a week with a workout dvd for the last week and a half and have lost 5 pounds so far. I cut out all soda and juice, all fried foods and all fast food from my diet and I know this has also helped. If you're a beginner, I definitely recommend beachbody.com's workout dvds (slim in 6 and turbo jam in particular!). Not only are they fabulous workouts, but they come with sample diet plans and lots of useful information on weight loss. They also have wonderful support forums at the site where you can get motivation and all sorts of information. Peertrainer.com is also a really great site for weight loss support.

the best way I found to lose weight, is to first lose the scales. If you plan to lose weight and do it effectivley and for good, exercise and a heathly diet is the only way. I have to say I really found the weight watchers point system to be the best way. It teaches you how to eat, not just what to eat to lose weight. There are many foods which are misleading you, you think they are good, but full of fat! As well 20 min a day of exersise. Swimming laps, treadmill, a walk around the block a couple of times, the key to this is to SWEAT!!! you have to work your body. When you work your body, the inches will drop. The reason why I say to lose the scales, is muscle weighs more then fat. when you exersise, you develop muscle. It can be misleading you! Good Luck With it:)

Don't get books or pills. Start running 1 mile everyday for a couple of weeks then alternate 1 mile, 2 miles and 3 miles at least 4 or 5 times a week. You can do it!!! I did!

The MOST important thing is to eat naturally..without medicines, chemicals, "starving" your self etc. first, it would be best for you to eat as healthy as possible..this will also help you considerably to lose weight gradually and naturally.. eat fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of WATER..avoid all cokes, caffeines, smoking, alchohol etc. as these also add weight as well as they contain chemicals which disturb your natural bio rythmns as well as brain chemistry. try not to eat too much meat, and the meat you should eat should be "lean meat" such as steamed chicken and rice, or steamed fish with rice..and vegetables,, this should be your staple diet rice and vegetables with fruits..AVOID "JUNK FOOD" and "Fast Food" as this type of food is very unhealthy, lacking in vitamins really and has plenty of fattening molecules which make one gain weight and is not good . if you snack,, try fruits with yogurt or fruit yogurt and nuts.. nuts are very healthy for your body .and contain proteins. go for walks every evening or morning or whenever you get time each day for 1 hour or 2 hours..make this somewhere you enjoy walking even if you have to drive a bit to there..and make this a daily routine..you will enjoy it once you get into it ..and it makes you feel great after..just walking for 1 hour or 2 hours. if you do this..every day for one month ..you should lose around 10 pounds (.714 stone) per month until you get to your natural healthy weight.. look up on the internet for an idea of what your weight for your height should be ..and when you get to this weight,,your body will look very nice and you will feel very good. 10 pounds (.714 stone ) each month in 3 months you should lose 30 pounds (2 stones, 2 pounds)..for sure...but no junk food and dont drink alcohol or smoke, dont eat junk..just healthy food with vitamins and walking 1 hour or 2 hours every day..and drink plenty of water..this is guaranteed way to lose weight naturally and for good, if you stick to this, which you should,,as it makes you feel so much more positive due to the vitamins and lack of chemicals making you feel depressed... btw, forgot to mention,,just in case you dont know how to really make healthy meals..buy a "food steamer" at your local deparment store..they are very cheap and work very well..as well as buy a "rice cooker" which is also very cheap..eating rice is a great way to get your necessary carbs "healthy carbs" to lose weight and has lots of natural energy inside. you can buy asian rice at most large supermarkets or if you have a local oriental market..they sale quality asian rice.. thai or indian rice is good "jasmine rice".. buy corn or canola oil to sprinkle on vegetables or rice before steaming to add to taste as well as you can buy several nice spices like "cumin" or "Curry powders", etc.just sprinkle on the vegetables before steaming to give nice taste. drink "Green Tea" as this is very healthy and helps burn extra fat faster...you can buy quality green tea at most oriental shops or large supermarkets as well
