Question: hello, i'm 19, weigh 71 kilos and am 5.6 ft. for just over a month i've been trying to lose weight, i used to be around 73.5 kg which is overweight according to bmi (a bit of a shock to me). anyway, i've always been a fairly healthy eating person, i just hate exercise. a month ago i began weight watchers which is great because the 20 point thing (i do the old one, not pro points) allows me to eat what i want within reason and moderation. i've lost about 2 kilos doing this and 2 RPM bike classes up at the gym a week. i'm now exercising 5 times a week (started last week because uni finished and i finally have enough spare time for it) which consists of a gym circuit that involves a lot of weigh training, 2 RPM classes which is a lot of cardio (i work pretty hard in those) and i go for a long run twice a week. i really want to get down to at least 65 kilos by october, do you think what i'm doing will allow that? i know i've been losing weight, but i'd like to speed it up a little bit. i'm not delusional, i know i can't lose 5 kilos in like a month at my rate but i would like to know i'm going to lose it sooner rather than later. also i don't want anyone giving me diets info. i do not do fad dieting, i'm looking to speed my metabolism up and build healthy habits, not living on soup or detoxing etc.

I'm in America so I had to convert the measurements to pounds, you weighed 161.7 lbs before, so far you've lost 5.5 lbs, that is a healthy weight loss regimen. According to my calculations you want to lose 18.7 lbs come October. This means you'll be burning around 4.5 lbs a month which is below the maximum of 8 lbs per month. Yes I think you are doing enough to lose weight. Also remember though that since you're doing all this intense exercise you're also gaining muscle which means you'll be gaining weight. BMI does not compensate for muscle so what does it matter as long as you look and feel good? In order to lose weight you want that heart rate up. So instead of doing that huge workout you listed at once here is an easier way. First thing is you want to mix cardio and strength up so I would do 6 sets of 25 jumping jax 12 push ups modified or regular 12 crutches Then your jog and place for 2 minutes Twice a day... Take a cold- warm shower afterward You want carbs and calories in your diet that's your energy you just gotta learn how to count them well try to avoid fats, red meat and breads like spagetti and pasta also lots and lots of protein your tearing down muscles and you need the protein to build them back stronger

I'm not very great at figuring this out, but I wanted to recommend the app for your phone called myfitnesspal. I think you can google it too for their website. But my point is that you can put your achieved weight by the time you have set in mind and then you put in other vital information. At the end it will tell you exactly how many calories (and other nutrition i.e. sugar, carb, protein) you should eat each day to achieve your target weight. Kind of like weight watchers I guess. Check it out, I enjoy it. It's also free. Just wanted to throw that out there. Take it or leave it, haha. Good luck!

Find the right diet for your individual body because there are many ways are there to lose weight just find what works for you

make sure you check food labels and avoid anything with more than 4 grams of sugar especially high fructose corn syrup per serving

store bought salad dressings can be packed with calories make your own vinaigrette and store it in a small spray bottle to coat your greens without over dressing them
