Question: I want to lose some weight before June, and I wanted to know if eating more raw fruits and vegetables and drinking more water will help with that?. I need to lose about 15-20 pounds, can anyone give me some ideas please. ThankYou!

Absolutely adding more fruits and vegetables and drinking more water will definitely help especially once you start adding enough fruits and vegetables that you're pushing other foods off your plate all together. For example, I have about half as much pasta now because I add so many vegetables to the sauce. That saves on calories and still keeps you full without feeling deprived. Same goes for water - if you're drinking water *instead* of juice, pop, etc, then you will be cutting calories. You don't have to replace all your juice with water, but if you replace most of it you'll again be saving yourself a lot of water. Just adding fruits and vegetables and drinking more water on top of an unhealthy diet won't cause weight loss, but if you make a point of including the fruits and veggies first and make sure you're getting enough water during the day you'll definitely be cutting back on some calories without much effort at all. As for absolutely needing cardio and weight training, that's not true. Yes, getting more physical activity is important for overall health and keeping fit, and it will make weight loss a bit easier, it's actually so much easier to cut 500 calories from your daily food intake (trade a large fries for a salad with light dressing and a glass of juice for water to save 500 calories in a single meal!), then it is to exercise those calories away (2h of walking!).

Heck yeah! Also limit the grains you eat because the carbs they have retain water. ( for good weight loss limit it to 1 serving of grains a day( bread, popcorn, rice, pasta, oatmeal) Also exercise for at least 30 minutes 5 times a week. Do running/ walking/ jump rope followed by some strengh training like weight lifting or resistance bands. Drink the equivalent of 5ish water bottles of water daily. Remove 3500 calories a week by diet/ or exercise ( 3500 cal= 1lb. ) so you'll lose 1lb a week. I think it's healthy to lose about 1 pound a week, so I wouldn't recommend more. Lot's of fruit and raw/steamed veggies! Spread you food out. Snack in between meals. And eat 5 small meals instead of 3 larger ones. Just be healthy, avoid sugar as much as you can. And last but not least, read the labels on what you eat! I find it really helpful. Good luck! p.s. If you lose 1lb a week from now til June, you will lose about 18 lbs.

You need to have a balanced diet. Start your morning off with a Whey Protein Drink (Chocolate) mixed with Skim milk and ice, mixed in a blender. Mid morning snack eat a fruit, apple, half banana, kiwi, etc. For lunch have another Whey Protein Drink only with skim milk. For a mid afternoon snack eat some raw veggies. For dinner have a proper meal but watch the fat content, suggestions are lean chicken with a large green salad, veggie stir fry, salmon with green beans, etc, etc. You should put a weekly dinner menu together and only buy what you need. Drink 8 glasses of water every day. Also, try and work out for 30 mins at least 3 days a week, even if it only a good walk (not stroll). The weight will come off slowly but if you stick to this diet then you will lose your weight by June. Good luck.

Well,where it certainly helps you need to make sure you have a well balanced diet so that you don't feel deprived. I eat often,all throughout the day. I am on a diet,1500 calories to be exact! Raw fruits and vegetables definately are very healthy. Drinking water is also healthy,but you also want some proteins,and good carbs.Then you want to exercise to build muscle! Here is an example of my day: I get up at approximately 6am so I eat about 8am 8am: Bowl of corn flakes,with FF Milk(I use powdered Milk) and Splenda 10am: I have a piece of fruit generally raw 12pm noon: Raw Vegetable( Such as celery with PB) or a String Cheese and a piece of fruit,usually an orange or grapefruit 2pm: Raw carrots with FF Ranch or Cauliflower raw of course 4pm:Homemade Quacamola with Vegetables or Whole wheat Crackers,Maybe also even have a Whole wheat tortilla with Quacamola(Sp?) Spread on it,with Refried Beans or black beans and some salda or queso sauce. 6pm:Special K Cereal Bar,my favorite is the strawberry ones or the Chocolate Drizzle. I also drink Crystal Light,now it isn't best for you but it helps me control my soda intake and it counts toward water intake as well! I have one packet daily,the rest I have water! I do not eat after 6pm I only have a snack at 6pm if I am hungry,if not I skip that snack! :) That's just a sample menu,of course you can fix a menu suitable for you!

Yep, it'll help as long as you're not also eating pizza and fried food a lot. Throw in some walking on a regular basis and you should have no trouble losing the weight. Nice to see someone on here with a realistic weight loss:time ratio :)

You can add green tea to your regimen: 3-5 cups of green tea will raise your metabolism and therefore cause your body to burn more fat---since you still got almost six months till June would I say that's all you have to do. If you want to speed up weight loss, replace all snacks with fresh fruits/veggies and drink the green tea 3-5 times a day. Then exercise also--because the green tea and exercise will burn 87% fat.......you'll be slim and trim by June that way....

Synthroid has been the one that I am taking successfully. It helped initially but it takes finding the proper dosage. If you are taking a dose that is too low hypothyroid symptoms will remain. Get your blood tested to see if you need an increase. I had started out on .150mgs but now I am on 250mgs, this is because I was gaining too much weight and looking bloated. If you are constantly exercising that much it may definitely indicate too low dosage because you should see definite results after all that.
