I'd say eat healthy, but it's not particularly safe to diet during pregnancy. What generally happens is a woman who is overweight when she gets pregnant will gain significantly less (sometimes no weight at all) during her pregnancy. Don't do any drastic calorie-cutting, make sure what you're eating is healthy and nutritious, and engage in moderate physical activity, but take it easy if you've been a couch potato for a while. You definitely don't want to shock your body, it's working to deal with enough right now.

It's only really safe for obese women to diet during pregnancy, that is a situation where the benefits outweigh the risks due to the possibility of complications due to obesity and it would be closely monitored by a doctor but you are not in that category, you only have 20 pounds of unwanted weight.
You can exercise in pregnancy as long as you check with your doctor that your choice of exercise is safe and you only need about 200 extra calories per day whilst pregnant and during breastfeeding if you choose to do it so not a huge amount and you don't have to 'eat for two' as some old wive's tales would have you believe.
I would simply enjoy your pregnancy though, you may get cravings, indulge if you do, carrying a baby is hard work, giving birth is hard work, healing from that and caring for a newborn is also hard work so don't fret about weight now, wait until 6 weeks after the birth and then think about it, you may not gain a huge amount and you would be surprised how quickly it comes off just eating normally and being so busy with the baby.
do your grocery shopping with a list and a time limit that way you re less likely to stray into the processed foods section

It's not safe to try to lose weight while pregnant, but you may lose weight while changing to a healthy lifestyle, but make sure you do NOT reduce calorie intake.

As long as its not dramatically, go on a healthier diet, moderate walks and drinking water helps I'd personally wait till after the birth because it piles on during pregnancy anyway naturally, but if you r unsure and want advice call your 24 hour led maternity unit who can assist u further x

its definitley not recommended to go on a diet or deliberatley lose weight while pregnant. you need to take in extra calories (about 300 more a day) for nutrition for your baby and for you while your body is going through this serious transformation. wait until after the baby is here to worry about your weight issues.
