i've gained 13 lbs in less than 3 weeks...and it's ALL been around my stomach. I am definitely not pregnant. what could cause this?

Sounds like water retention, though I am not a doctor and cannot tell you.
If you have been eating high salt foods (chips, bacon, etc.) this could be a cause. Such foods are common in summer.
Cut out the salt! if the weight goes down in a day or two, that is probably what it was.
It can also be a sign of kidney problems, so don't monkey around with it.

Eat protein/carbs/fat in a 40/40/20 ratio. Have meals every 2,3 hours. Eat 500 to 1000 calories more than you need.
Do heavy lifts. Sets of 4, four exercises, with a weight that lets you do 6 to 8 reps. Rest 48 to 72 hours between body parts.
It could be water retention. Are you eating less than usual? Whenever I gained weight quickly, I was not hungry and I ate a lot less than normal. Are you also cold natured? Your thyroid may be acting up.

the list can continue, but that is pretty unusual for so much weight to accumulate in such a short period of time without effort... what are you doing differently that you didnt do pre-3weeks ago?

Water gain, more than likely. It's caused by excess salt in your diet. You should take your measurements with a tape if you really want to know if you gained any fat.

I'm sure that if you gave more information, such as what medications you're taking or what your eating habits are like, someone could figure it out.

I think when you have nothing to do then you eat or if you drink a lot of water then it is all of the water

Over eating proberably!! Maybe you have done it without realising, or maybe you just have not been as active as usual?
