Well, I would make sure you are eating 100% whole grain foods such as cereals, pastas and breads. Not to mention, enough fruits and vegetables. Drinking enough water is very important, too. Additionally, I recommend Fiber Sure. It's a white powder fiber that dissolves completely, even in a glass of water or juice. You can put in foods, too. And, you can use it every day. It's high in fiber and a probiotic which helps maintain the healthy bacteria in your intestinal tract. Exercise, especially walking around is helpful. People that sit too much tend to experience more constipation than active people. I always found drinking caffeinated coffee in the morning seemed to help get me going, also. It worked for my dad, too. But, it doesn''t necessarily work for everyone. It would only be worth it though if you really enjoyed some java in the morning.

If you suffer from constipation here are a few things you can try before heading to the drug store. * prunes and natural laxatives * increased natural fiber * physical activity Before you waste your money on lab created products, consider trying one or all of the natural remedies for constipation first. New Colon Sweep is an all natural product designed to cleanse and detox this delicate area. You don't need a lot of unnatural additives to treat constipation.

try drinking two glass of water as you wake up in the morning! just try because for me it worked. i have too suffered constipation for quite sometime and its kinda annoying to hear that i defecate usually ones in every three days! imagine that! and now, its already everyday! if you can't eat vegetables as a part of your daily diet, then WATER is the answer!! patience is a must! but great results could be achieved! goodluck!

I think it would help to detox your system in order to promote bowel regularity. This is something you can take every day - and it is encouraged to do so. Matter of fact, they just did a clinical study, and that was one of the benefits within 14 days.

If you are taking opioid medications, then you should be taking Senna-S one tab twice daily. If you have no bowel movement every three days take milk of magnesia 30 mls daily until you do. If you have no bowel movement on the fourth day take a dulcolax suppository. If you have no bowel movement the fifth day, take a Fleets enema. If you have had no bowel movement on the fifth day, or if your constipation is causing you discomfort, the call the hospice to have a nurse come and visit. Try to take an extra dose of pain medication a little before the nurse arrives, because you may need a digital inspection/dis-impaction and that can be uncomfortable. The best way to treat constipation is to prevent it. Take the Senna-S whether you feel constipated or not, unless you have watery stools. Drink plenty of fluids, especially prune juice and water. Try to remain as active as possible and include some fiber in your diet. All of the medications mentioned are available without a prescription, but they are covered under your hospice benefit and should be supplied by the hospice. PS: If none of this works you could try rolling a pea sized ball of petroleum jelly in some sugar, and put it in the freezer and take that. That's old school, but it works as a last resort.
