What really works to lose weight?

What really works to lose weight? Topic: What really works to lose weight?

Question: I'm 16, I weigh 220, I'm 5'3" to 5'4". I'm aware this is not healthy. I had body issues. I'm half african american so my thighs and butt are rather big. I have big arms (no rolls on them, but still big). I have stretch marks on my belly. I shouldn't be having these problems. These are my biggest issues. I really don't eat crazy amounts of foods. I've been working out lately, a lot, I love to work out. I know muscle weighs more than fat, and I've got some muscle. My calves, thighs, and even my arms are starting to look built. If there is a caring person out there could you give me a schedule I could follow that would make me lose 3-5 pounds a week? PLEASE!!! ***** 5 STARS BEST ANSWER.

In order to lose weight you need to burn more calories than you eat. So say if you eat a meal you will have to exercise for a while after it (most meals at least 30 mins) to burn it off and if you want to lose a little extra fat then exercise for a bit longer. Just make sure you have at least 2 break days per week. Hope this helps :)

If you want to lose that much weight each week, the only suggestion is starvation, which I do not recommend. It's not nesisarily just the amount of food you eat, it's also what. Instead of eating mcdonalds, eat a hommade salad(the ones from mcdonalds are worse than a bigmac) hope this helped! ^.^

Controlling what you put in your mouth. No diet will work if you cannot control youre appetite. Small portions, no soda, drinking water or milk!

There is no magic pill for anything! What you need to do is take control of your life and manage your habits. I am not chastising you, I am just trying to let you see that if you can't change your eating habits then you will never be in control of your weight. I know this from personal experience. I have lost 40 pounds in a 3 month period. It was easy to take off the weight. It has been a nightmare trying to maintain the weight that I want to stay at. I have had my ups and downs as much as 3 extra pounds at Thanksgiving time. I have found that I have to renew my commitment on nearly a daily basis. I bought a scale that measures my weight in tenths of a pound. I weigh myself EVERY day, that way I can make daily corrections as I need them. I am terrible at exercise so that is not a priority of my regime. I know that I will never be able to keep doing exercise daily forever, so I have to maintain my weight by controlling something that I will be able to continue forever - and that is my diet. I decided on getting rid of the bad habits (it takes 21 days to alter a habit) no more junk food in my house - if it isn't there, I can't eat it. No more eating in front of the TV. (just say NO, out loud) lots and lots of water, especially before eating a meal. Nothing to eat after 6 pm NOTHING! And the big one - no soda! ever! The 21 day habit alteration works. And once you have done something for more than 3 weeks it becomes so much easier. You just don't want it to be 21 days of popping a pill. Is that somehing that you want to do forever? I am pulling for you and hoping that you make it a willpower and control issue rather than a quick fix and fail later issue. Good luck to you. I know that control works.
