Question: Ten years ago after losing my job, quiting smoking and going though the change, I gained 80lbs. I never had to diet in my life , always a size 5! After a trip to the Dr. I realized it had to change . I lost 50lbs.,no problem. Now After gaining back 25lbs,I am walking 2 miles a day, eating small GOOD meals, doing pilates, yoga and even waits.I have not missed a day. Nothing is working and I can't afford a trainer. Can anyone help, or make a suggestion?

I read "The Secrets of Thin Women" on AOL and it seemed that fiber --- Barley Brown Rice Bananas Steel Cut Oats Black Beans, Seeds, etc. is what keeps weight manageable by keeping a long lasting food in your digestive system. This keeps an even burn on the metabolism. That means caloric intake is fueling your body's elimination of toxins and keeping the cells oxygenated (important when there is rancid fat stored deep in the body). By the way, coconut oil has fat-melting properties. Look up the foods in anti-inflammatory diets. These will stabilize your internal inflammation as this adds to the fat pool. Eat a little protein with every meal. This keeps the cells supplied with amino acids necessary for cell repair. (You don't want a sludgy pool of sick cells clogging up your body. This doesn't contribute to an efficient burner system.) Also, keep hydration in your body as you are dropping weight. If you imbalance your electrolytes, this does not contribute to an efficient system, either. Get your water from fruits like mango and watermelon, aloe vera juice, veggies like okra, zucchini and napa cabbage and use wildflower honey to retain that water in your cells. Exercising should be about 30 minutes per day. Any more than that and you are stressing your system to provide energy for your workout instead of cleansing out the fat. If your weight sticks with you after upping your metabolism, balancing your hormones would be the next step. Try yams, and chasteberry to balance your hormones, especially estrogen.

Remove the junk food from your cabinets Walk every day for 1 hour Stop drinking soda, koolaid, diet pops and substitute water Use skim milk only Limit yourself to 1 serving of red meat a week. Learn to love white meat chicken Keep a container of quick healthy snacks in the fridge like melon, mixed veggies for when you feel like your going to woof down a bag of dorito's. Stop and think about what your eating. Use Splenda instead of sugar. Keep a drink of water or tea with splenda close by all the time. Eat salad before every meal with only vegetables in it. No bacon bits, egg, cheese and high fat dressing. Learn to eat no or low fat dressing Have sex every single day Park the furthest parking space from the store and walk the extra distance. I could go on and on. Never give up.

i advise you to drink green tea 1-3 glasses per day green tea speeds up your metabolism drink lots and lots of water 8 glasses each day. do not snack do not eat 6 meals a day, try to only eat 3 if you are really hungry and you've had all your daily meals snack on fruits ( oranges, apples, bananas ) exercise more try and run for at least 30 minutes a day get more active get more sleep it prepares your body stretch, yes it works and it doesn't just help you lose weight it helps with you're growing to make you a little taller count your calories try to stay under the amount of 1300 calories per day change you're lifestyle it makes a difference do not eat candy or chips eat more greens or protein bars avoid fast food and cut out fried food when you cook your meal oven cook your food do not fry it chew gum because when you chew gum you do not pick at food for example if theres some chips in you're cupboard you go to them a think good damn they look good then you would say no i cant pick at them because i dont wanna throw my gum away do not eat after 6pm because before 6pm you can burn all you're food off and if you eat after six it will lay on you're stomach as you eat. do not eat before you go to sleep drink a glass of water before you go to sleep eat spicy food, if you can because it speeds up you're metabolism do not weigh you're self everyday because it torments you, weight you're self once a week ( every Monday ) good luck! you can safley lose 2 to 3 lbs. a week

If you live near a Curves facility that is a great resource to use. I was in your same boat but then went to Curves and they were able to help me get that weight off and keep it off and it is great for the more mature woman!
