Question: i'm 5'2, barely 100 pounds. i'm really skinny, but i have kind of a gut. i want a super flat stomach. i drink lots of water, alot of protein & fruits & veggies, no candy, no soda, nothing crazy bad. my diet is pretty good AND i do hardcore cardio. granted my genetics arent' great but still nothing is working. what can i do to lose fat? is there anything i'm doing wrong? (i know i can't spot reduce fat, but if i lose overall fat, then i'll hopefully get a flat stomache) and i know i'm skinny, but i'll gain weight later, when my metabolism slows, i'm only 17. thats literally impossible for me too, i can't get over 102 lol. it's just how i am

It is not impossible, but it will take hard work and dedication. You are correct that you cannot spot reduce fat and that you need to lose overall body fat. The thing with the body is that it stores fat all over the body (face, arms, back, thigh, butt, abdominal) and usually the abdominal fat is the last to leave. This just means that you need to lose all/most of the fat around your whole body before you notice it over the abdominals. I have heard that it takes a body fat around 8% to get to that flat stomach so just keep at it and eventually that fat will have to go.

That is a bit strange b/c at 5"2 100 lbs, that's pretty darn light. Actually you're smaller than my fiancee; she's same height around 108 lbs and she has a very flat stomach. It's possible that you may have a flat stomach but don't think you do but that's hard for me to say without pictures. That being said, try cutting down on the fruit and get in more green veggies and lean protein. I would also try and get in some form of weight training. Because you're stomach is not supposed to be flat. I'm shorter than you and weigh more than you, and not overweight. Eat something. EDIT: You say you can't go over 102. How do you know that, if you barely eat anything? You're supposed to eat more than just fruits and veggies. Loading up on protein is not healthy, you're supposed to balance your diet

how come you've never tried to work your ab muscles? you've listed diet and cardio, but no crunches? Situps? Planks? I suggest you workout your abs. If that doesn't work after a while, blame genetics.
