I'm 17 5"8 200lbs and want to lose weight. I've minimalized my calorie intake per day, I eat in the morning cornflakes or some cereal high in fiber and for lunch I eat tuna with whole wheat crackers. Then for dinner boneless skinless chicken seasoned with rice on the side. And of course water all day with every meal.i also do cardio 4 times a week for 1 hour and 30 min each time. I'm also looking to see if flax seed would be a good addition

Lose the cereal, the crackers and anything made with wheat or corn. Eat whole foods, not processed foods. Crackers and cereal are processed foods. Milk? No. -- unless it's unsweetened almond milk, 30 cal a cup.
Concentrate on counting carbs, not calories and while you're losing weight eat 25 to 30 grams of carbs a day
Seeds are fine.

Instead of cereal have something unprocessed. Eggs for example are much more nutrient dense than cornflakes. Feel free to eat the skin on the chicken, but instead of rice, have vegetables. Add butter to them! We need fat in our diets; it helps to absorb nutrients. And it's tasty... filling, too. I go through about a kilo of butter a month (a 250g pack a week). I've lost weight and am healthy.

Your diet is totally wrong.
It is carbohydrates that cause weight gain, cut out the cereals, rice and crackers.
Eat the tuna and chicken (with the skin)
Fat doesn't make you fat, carbs do.

Vegetables would be a good addition. They'll fill you up with fewer calories than all the carbs you are consuming. Everything in moderation. Figure out you calorie count. It appears that you're eating too little. You shouldn't be under 1200 - 1500 per day. Flax seed is a good anti-oxidant, but does nothing for weight loss.

That will help a lot, but its not just exercising that you need to lose weight, you also need to eat right, eat healthy foods, serving sizes, enough fruits and veggies, and also don't tell yourself that your on a diet, say your just making healthy chooses and having fun dancing.
