Question: I drink juice and diet coke only but I would really like to start drinking more water from now on. How can I start drinking more water? I want to get more healthier cos sometimes I feel funny.

i also wanted to drink more water because i never drank it and had bad skin but i got a small 500ml bottle and i refill it throughout the day with tap water and drink it. seriously, when you've got the bottle near you or in your hand you drink through it so much quicker than when its in a glass or cup. so drink it out of a bottle and i recommend refilling it 4-5 times a day, and you can also have a glass of diet coke and a drink of juice in the morning to satisfy your fix. it might seem like a lot of water but its not when your drinking it. have one in the morning, one at lunchtime, one in the afternoon, one at dinner and one after dinner in the evening, - EASY and it has great benefits on your health too - my skin cleared up straight away when i drank more :)

You most likely "feel funny" because you are consuming too much sugar--even though the sugar being consumed from juice (I'm assuming it is fruit juice) is fructose. This can wreak havoc with your pancreas, adrenal glands, brain and thyroid, to name just a few organs. Sugar substitutes that are used in diet beverages are a nightmare, nutritionally speaking. If you don't have the fortitude to go "cold turkey" off these beverages then begin by diluting them with healthy spring water, not tap water. Your body needs water not fruit juice or synthetic beverages (sodas). This is like drinking battery acid. You can squeeze some fresh orange/tangerine into a glass of spring water for a sweetening effect. You'd be wise to examine your whole diet. A good way to become more aware of what you are consuming is to keep a food journal/diary for 2 weeks. Every time you put something in your mouth record it in your journal. Also note any changes in energy/moods over this time. Changes in energy and moods can occur within a short period of time up to a few days when consuming foods/fluids that you may be sensitive or allergic to. Every person is different. Try mixing 2/3 a cup of carbonated water (ie. soda water, seltzer water, club soda) with 1/3 cup of juice (I recommend orange, pomegranate, apple, cranberry). Avoid juices with high fructose corn syrup, added sugars, or artificial sweeteners (like splenda). I buy 100% unsweetened juice. The soda water is just water with carbonation in it. It gives the drink that fizzy feeling that soda has. The juice is a healthy alternative to the syrup and sugar in soda. Avoid drinking diet sodas in the future. The artificial sweeteners can cause insulin resistance and cancer with prolonged exposure. Drink regular soda if you must.

I mix a little real fruit juice with water and it's easier to drink since it tastes better. About one part juice, ten parts water. Or I'll put a tea bag in a quart of water, which isn't as good. Or lemon or lime juice.

The solution is to keep a bowl of water in an area that is well-travelled by the cat. Some cats will just never seem to drink water if the only source is near their food bowl, but if they are walking by a water bowl 20 times a day they'll often stop to drink. I took a cat that never drank at all to one who drinks a full bowl every two days by doing this. Also, remember that the cat probably enjoys your companionship and probably enjoys being in the bathroom with you and you turning on the water for it. It's probably not just thirsty. If you show it that the water in the sink is the same as the water in the bowl that you provided, it will forget about the sink eventually, so always fill the water bowl from that particular sink.
