How long before I lose weight on a raw vegan diet?

How long before I lose weight on a raw vegan diet? Topic: How long before I lose weight on a raw vegan diet?

Question: I'm 5'2-3ish in height. (ft.inches) and I weigh about 130 pounds. I've been vegan for a while now, (and vegetarian for a few months). It's just when I went vegetarian, instead of meat I ate junk food. Which resulted in weight gain. I lost the 10 pounds I had gained but I'm still chubby (size 4-6 US). If I went raw instead of just vegan, how long until i lost the weight?

Most raw vegans maintain their weight with their diet--they're obviously not perpetually losing weight, so raw veganism itself doesn't make you lose weight. The types of food you choose to eat don't directly impact your weight loss. Simply, if you're eating less calories now than you were before, it'll probably take three or four months to lose another 10 pounds. If you've just increased your food intake and are consuming the same number of calories as before, you'll never lose weight. I guessed three months because if you eat the bare minimum daily calorie intake (1200/day), you will probably at most burn one half to one pound a week. Your body must be short of a full 3000 calories to burn a pound. This is why exercising is a much faster (and healthier) way to lose weight than simply cutting a few calories. The only way you can be sure that you're getting enough calories but not too many is to count them. If that's not your cup of tea, exercise can help balance out your calorie intake on days when you consume too many without realizing. Exercising can be as easy as walking. If you're unhappy with how your body looks, losing weight probably won't help since you're already thin. You'd probably be more content with toning up your body.

weight loss is something that happens a little bit at a time. no one can lose 10 pounds in week in any way thats healthy. it will definitely take alot longer just cutting back on calories to lose weight, than if you cut out dessert, junk food, and exercise. (plus exercise makes you feel good, its a natural stress reliever) how to get six pack abs (or just lose belly fat to help prevent diabetes, obesity, hypoglycemia) ------------------------ 1) don't eat anything, and don't drink anything except water (no vitamin water) for 2 hours before exercise because the insulin released keeps you from burning fat. do eat carbs before a workout since you need them to burn fat. avoid fried foods because its a lot easier to burn carbs than to burn fat. it might be helpful to eat tempeh since it contains a decent amount of the protein carnitine, which is required to burn fat 2) jog, swim, or another aerobic exercise for 60 minutes (because you don't even start to burn fat for 20 minutes) adrenaline is very important in burning fat and the harder you work out the more adrenaline is released. do half or most of your workout at an intense pace, and then slow down to a medium pace. 3) every other day start the workout by lifting weights. workout every muscle (biceps, triceps, push ups, shoulders, back, squats, overhead dumbell squat) each pound of muscle eats up at least 50 calories a day just doing nothing 4) growth hormone is especially good at burning abdominal fat. run as fast as you can for 30 seconds for a huge release of growth hormone (which athletes pay alot of money for illegally). large amounts of growth hormone are created during sleep. for a bigger burst of growth hormone try to avoid eating before bed when you have gotten down to 10 percent body fat, do sit ups and other abdominal exercises.

Yes I am, and It's been two and a half years. It is definitely sustainable, for a few reasons: 1) A "Raw Foodist" is generally defined as a person who consumes 75% or more of their food in a raw form. The remaining 25% provides a great deal of wiggle room. For instance, I still drink herbal teas, and consume the occasional veggie burger. 2) The reasons for going raw are all about health. Since there isn't an ethical component, (to one who is already vegan, of course) there is no guilt involved if one should fall off the wagon. 3) The most important reason it's sustainable is how good you feel. People who go raw for any length of time, then slip back into eating cooked foods will notice the difference in their digestion, energy, mood, skin, eyesight etc. and they generally want the raw feeling back.
