With the way our society is changing, more stress, less compassion, more road rage, impossible Sunday drives without some idiot tailgating you and acting as though you're the one doing wrong, more daily violence reported on the news, the war in Iraq and it's sad daily reports, the list goes on and on, but at least we all can see why we smile less in today's world/society.

Your face is an open book of YOU. If you are not smiling it is because you have too much on your mind or youre having a bad day. Sometimes we have to smile while we are at work or at school but we really don't want to...sometimes we just do it to be polite. America is all about being stressed out. What you eat has nothing to do if you smile or not. Live a simplified life and it is easier to be happy.

...this is just a suggestion that came to mind...find a photo of yourself or loved one where you or they are smiling...not a fake, for the camera smile, but a real "in the moment" type smile...copy it and put a copy on your frig, next to your computer screen, on the visor in your car, next to the mirror in your bathroom...and so on...after a while you will smile along with it and it will become second nature...

Practise in front of a mirror; with time you'll become the most smiling person in town. Have a good smile.

If you don't smile, it's because you are not living the life you want to. Try moving away from who you don't like and towards who you do like.

At one year of age my son switched to whole milk and ate a healthy, balanced diet. Your daughter should be getting all the nutrients/vitamins through her food. If you still feel worried, consult her Pediatrician as they might suggest a chewable vitamin. This is my son's normal meal plan: Breakfast: Oatmeal (made with milk), side of fruit like blueberries, strawberries, bananas; whole milk Scrambled egg (made with milk) (add a veggie if you want), side of fruit, half of whole wheat toast, whole milk Cheerios, bowl of yogurt, side of fruit, whole milk Lunch: Grilled cheese on whole wheat toast (cut into strips), green peas, side of fruit like peaches, pears, oranges, melon; milk (unless he finished all at breakfast then he can have watered down juice or water) Vegetable Soup (homemade), whole wheat ritz crackers/unsalted saltines, side of fruit, milk/juice Tuna fish sandwich on whole wheat, corn, side of fruit, milk/juice Dinner: Spaghetti (whole wheat pasta in kid friendly sizes), green beans, whole milk Grilled chicken, brown rice, green peas, whole milk Homemade chicken nuggets, baked sweet potato fries, sauteed spinach, whole milk Snacks: Applesauce, cottage cheese, fruit, soft veggie to dip in yogurt/mayo mixture, whole wheat toast, pieces of cheese, yogurt with fruit or granola, boiled egg, fruit smoothie.
