I know a family, they life near my house. All the members of that family work including the man, his wife, 2 small boys (7-8 years) because they are very poor ,they have nothing to eat, they barely meet ends. Small children from that family work all day to eat a rice bowl in night. But whenever I met them, I always find them smiling. I always ask them how could you smile having this **** life and their answer is your answer... "Yes we have a **** life but crying about it won't change anything" Your life is so much better. Just think and if you have problem feeling what I am saying then try not to eat for 2 days and you will know......

dont kill yourself!! You have so much to offer to the world and do make your amazing time on this beautiful earth come to an end. I know things may seem hard right now but just remember that its darkest before the dawn and that everything will work out. Talk it through with your family and get some help by talking to someone. You do not deserve to leave this earth so quickly. The world needs you here. So do your friends family and yourself:) stay strong

I've had the same thoughts. But you need to know that this drama is only temporary and it will end. Just hold on an be patient. I know so many people that have wanted to commit suicide but are scared for friends/parents. It's just a stage you might be going through. If you keep having these feelings, you should keep a ponytail or rubber band around your wrist and snap it every time you are suicidal. I hope you get through it :). Please remember there are people who love you and don't want you to go:)

Whatever is wrong your brain is lying to you and telling you that things are worse then they are. Make your self promise not to do anything at least for tonight and then tomorrow go somewhere and get help. IF you are not able to keep yourself safe tonight go to an ER immedatily. Also this is the number to the National Suicide hotline 1-800-273-8255

there is only one way to spare them the hell. don't do it. why would you want to end it, when you have so many loved ones around you. go to them for support. they will help you get over this. don't kill yourself, you are going to miss out on a lot of the positives that life has to offer.

Anxiety really isn't caused by increased cortisol levels. It's usually contributed to by other neurotransmitters. Nocotine is a drug that affect dopamine, a neurotransmitter that causes pleasure and gives you a feeling of reward. When you smoke it increases levels of dopamine which make someone feel good and it's why nicotine is one of the most addictive substances. When you smoke for long periods your brain makes less dopamine or it doesn't react to dopamine as strongly, this is the effect of addiction. That's why when you try to quit you get psychological withdrawl symptoms until your body can readjust back to where it should be. This could be a big contributing factor to depression and anxiety in people who are trying to quit smoking. (It's also why anti-depressants like Welbutrin that act on dopamine help with quitting smoking) Tappering off smoking never really works. You will always get withdrawl symptoms for the most part and quitting is always hard. You should not return to smoking and attempt tappering off. You should continue to not smoke. Weight lifting and exercise is great for your body and can be a wonderful stress reliever. It's good for helping manage depression or anxiety. You should continue doing this. It has not caused your issues. You never mention what you were taking Lexopro for, depression or anxiety? If you were taking it for anxiety then obviously you need to get back on it or talk to your doctor about other medication options if you don't like the Lexopro. I think the best thing for you to do is talk to your doctor about this and find out what you need to do as far as treatment options go. Like I said cortisol is more of a stress hormone and usually leads to more anger issues than anxiety issues. Most anxiety is related to things liked dopamine and serotonin. If you had a problem with your cortisol levels that would basically mean you have an underlying medical condition leading to this. That would also mean that the Lexopro wouldn't have helped your anxiety before because those drugs do not act on cortisol at all. So I'd be reluctant to believe you have any sort of cortisol issue. -Connor
