How fast should my baby gain weight?

How fast should my baby gain weight? Topic: How fast should my baby gain weight?

Question: I recently had a little girl, on July 29 to be exact, and she is perfect! :) However, I am worried about her weight a bit, because it is above the average. She is now 15 days old, and at two weeks it is expected that your baby be back to it's birth weight at this point. As they lose a bit of weight in the first week of life. Our baby was born at 7lbs8oz, last week she was 8lbs, and last night she weighed 8lbs8oz . So in two weeks she has already gained 1lb over her birth weight. Should we be worried?

The range for "normal" weight gain, height and head are VERY wide. Some babies grow at a faster pace than others. When you go back to your Ped. they will do her charting on size. The percentage for her will just be more in the 70's probably than the 50's. My first girl was always in the 30's and 40's. My second daughter was in the 80's. But, all still normal! Now, they have a chart that is above the first 100 percentage, and if your baby falls in that, be more concerned. Your baby is just fine!

Health Visitors do not consistently realize first-class. My son's received plenty of weight in his five months, however I've certainly not had any wellbeing reputable say he is received an excessive amount of. She's only a hungry youngster, a few toddlers take a while to attain weight, it is flawlessly traditional to attain round part a pound to 1lb a week within the early months. It'll tail off finally. As lengthy as your youngster is completely happy and healthful, you will have trust for your capacity as a mom. Afterall, YOU realize your youngster first-class.

No, don't be worried. Babies gain differently. I was told a baby should gain 1-2lbs per month.
