It depends what you're doing. But generally if you want t drop body fat, you'd follow a low carb diet (diet is vastly more important than exercise), and you'd do cardio for at least 30 minutes every day. A good suggestion would be to do cardio before eating breakfast, first thing of a morning go to the gym early, then consume a meal high in protein afterwards. This would mean that your energy is coming from fat stores, and not from what you had for breakfast. You might not be able to push yourself at such high intensity, but you can make up for ths by exercising for longer (going for endurance rather than speed). As for the exercise, 30-60 minutes on a bike, treadmill, or cross trainer would be plenty. Try to do this at least every other day. Go easy at first, as it is possible to cause injury after a week or two if you're not used to it. - I started running 30 miles (8-10 hours) a week and on my third week I pulled a hip flexor muscle at work trying to move something heavy

Well, how long you're in tyre doesn't matter. What matters is that you get your workout routine done. If you're just wanting to slim down a little and get toned, you should make sure do a food amount of cardio. Use the treadmill. Run a few miles worth whenever you go. Jogging whether in the street or on a treadmill should be a daily thing. Another thing to focus on is your abs. Do lots of core workouts. Sit ups, crunches, etc. But something that most girls don't do that can really do them a lot of good is weight lifting. You SHOULD life weights. Don't be scared of becoming all bulky. When you see those female bodybuilders that are scarily huge, its not because they're lifting weights. Its because they're taking male hormones and steroids. There are lots of workouts you can find online.

You should be going to the gym at least 3-4 times a week. Remember to train every muscle and try not to spend more the 1 and a half hours. At around that time, your testosterone levels begin to drop drastically and if you don't know, testosterone is the growth hormone that helps you gain muscle. Try to aim for around 12-15 reps per exercise for 4 sets, if you want to get toned. Go for 8-12 reps and 4 sets if you want to try to bulk more. Use dumbbells and try to limit machine use as they are not as effective as their free weight counterparts. Good Luck :)

You need to hire a personal trainer. If you join any decent gym(ie. 24hr fitness) they have them for hire. I recomend getting 5 sessions. They'll try to sell you more. Then as you get more fit and feel more comfortable, read magazines and watch what oither people are doing. You'll need to change you workout every so often. Or get more sessions.

3-4 times a week, maximum of an hour and a half at the gym. If you want a toned body then low weights on any equipment with a high amount of reps is ideal. 15-20 reps on average. This will define your muscles rather then add mass.

You can be an alcoholic and drink only one drink a day. It depends on how much effect it has on your ability to function in a profitable, adult way. It also depends on if this bothers you. It seems to because you are asking if this much drinking is too much. Spending 10% a month on alcohol is a big bite out of your budget. Why not save that 10%? It will really pay off down the road. You wonder how it looks to contemporaries. It looks like too much to me. I am your contemporary in that I am on here answering questions. Probably not in age. 3 beers is a lot of calories. If you are getting a spare tire or beer belly, something must be cut from your diet. It is more than 10% of your caloric intake. And, all empty calories. If you add snacks, more calories. If this is taking up your time, sitting and drinking, or drinking as a social life, going to bars every night, I would say it is too much. If you are doing this for psychological reasons, drinking to feel better, it is too much. Rarely getting drunk is too many times in my opinion. You asked and there it is.
