What's your ideal version of "skinny"?

What's your ideal version of "skinny"? Topic: What's your ideal version of "skinny"?

Question: Let me start of with the fact I do not have your ideal teenage "hot" body. And since I live in a rather smallish town not everyone at my high school has the great goddess bodies like those in hollywood. Some do, just not everyone. My question is, Why do girls who are skinny think they are fat. Are they just seeking attention or do they really think that their fat? I ask because I know some girls like the anorexic look.

Most of it is psychological. Girls see celebrities live the "perfect life" and they look at their own and think that it doesn't measure up. So they think about how they too can get the perfect life, and suddenly it clicks! All the Hollywood girls have perfect faces and bodies, that must be the key! If they can look perfect, their life will be perfect. So they diet, wear make-up, buy fashionable clothes and try to look like a celebrity. They use the quality of their life as a measure of how "perfect" they are, and when they see that their life still isn't perfect, they keep going. They try to be skinnier, pray for bigger boobs, save up for nose jobs etc, they just keep going because they feel so bad about their own lives that controlling how they look makes them think they can make their life perfect. And the sad thing is, the media planned it that way. They want young girls to look at celebrities and feel inadequate so that the girls keep buying cosmetics, clothes, diet pills and surgery, and it's all so they can get more money. Young girls and their insecurities are just a cash cow, and this is how the media sees it.

It really depends on the girl and her situation; some of them think they're fat because like you said, they might be attention seekers; however some of them are very insecure with theirselves to the extent that they don't see in the mirror what others see. They want to look like someone from hollywood when everyone knows that even the people you see in the magazines don't look like that in real life; they've had a team of up to 100 beauticians working on them and even after they have their pictures taken they are retouched. On the other hand; skinninessis in the eyes of the beholder, I get a lot of people tell me that "oh, you're real skinny", personally I don't believe that I'm skinny and I don't want to be skinny because If I don't find bones (I.e. bone skinny people) attractive, why would I want to be like that? My "ideal version of skinny" would be someone who when you see them, the first thing that pops in your mind, is "they need some meat on their bones and possibly a doctor check up". Also, in my own opinion, there is a didifferenceetween being skinny and lean. Most skinny people are unhealthy and have extremely underweight BMIs; however lean people, might look small but they are healthy.

Wow, some people are mean on here. I don't think someone wants to look anorexic. Thats unhealthy. I'm 5'4'' and weigh about 104ish lbs. So, I actually want to gain weight... just because I want to be more curvey, but sometime I feel heavy. Like I feel like my thighs are chunky when they most likely are not. I think sometimes girl just feel fat when they are just bloated, some really do want attention, and some are just insecure... The mirror is a devil. But why do people even care about other peoples weight and bodies? Worry about yourself.

I am thin and I know it, I never call myself fat. Though it is possible for some anorexic girls to literally see themselves as fat, most of the skinny girls who say that don't really think that and are just fishing for compliments or attention, and usually it is because of low self-esteem. The most important thing is just to be happy with yourself! :)

the best version of skinny is based on height - girl 5 foot 5 inches should be 125 pounds. more inches equals a little more weight. look at the body mass index chart - there is a window of light and heavy pounds for each height for men and women - google that... don't woory about ppls ideas, go by the chart.

to me skinny is like lindsey lohan (how she is NOW), keira knightley is like SUPER SKINNY. megan fox is skiinny but shes like fit skinny and still has curves and a good body. i think the girls who are actually skinny just call themselves fat because they dont want to seem conceited and say omgg im so skinnny. and yeah they want to boost their ego. like i am always told that im really pretty and have a good body but no one sees everything on my body that i do. and if i have a little cellulite somewhere or something that no one else notices ill be SO self concious about it , so with the skinny girls it also could be that you dont see everything. it could be that those girls actually are anorexic... :/

No, Wal Mart and Whole Foods are not one in the same. Wal Mart is trying to corner the market on Organic products. You will be able to purchase more organic and natural foods. They seem to be carrying a lot of these items. Probably the best selection I have seen in a traditional grocery store. Everything is sort of mixed in with regular groceries. Lots of name brand food that have gone organic. For example: Smuckers, Kelloggs, etc. They are even selling organic cotton t-shirts.
