When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Lifting will be a great combination would your running. It'll help improve your overall muscular endurance when running and will give you a massive increase in energy and strength! I'd advise this... Monday: Chest, Back, Shoulder, Abs Tuesday: Running Wednesday: Biceps, Triceps, Laterals, Abs Thursday: Running Friday: Hamstrings, Quadriceps, Calves, Glute Saturday: Set yourself a challenge or take part in some sports Sunday: Recovery, do nothing! If anything, eat something that's of a decent amount of sugar and fat; this will help to give your metabolism a boost which will help you burn ever more calories during further weeks of diet and exercise! It'll definitely prepare you for your race, giving you a massive advantage over other runners. If you don't like weights then I'd suggest circuit training. I do a lot of this during MMA and it's improvement my cardio and muscular endurance 10 fold! I hope this helps!

Usually, your diet is a big part of losing weight. If you consume the right amount of calories (say 1800-2000 per day) without exercising you might lose a few pounds. However, considering that you are so young and at a healthy weight, losing a few pounds may be more difficult. But to answer your question, yes it is possible to lose weight without dieting and exercising as long as you keep your calorie intake to a minimum.

... Just eat right and exercise exercise and exercise that's the only way to burn fast and your daily calories.here are some tips for your diet so It's basically all about eating clean, being consistent with your meals (protein + healthy carbs) and your workout schedule, eliminating unhealthy eating habits and incorporating healthier alternatives, and incorporating a cardio routine in your workout schedule. As far as meal planning and nutrition is concerned, my biggest tip is... simply avoid the obvious. Stay away from candy, watch your alcohol consumption (one glass of red wine every other day is fine bc of its health benefits), sweet treats, basically food with white sugar or fructose in it or at least large portions of it (all in moderation)—sugar does have a high calorie count, provides short term energy, with a potential crash & has no nutrients in it whatsoever.A great alternative is agave nectar and stevia powder; both are low-glycemic and organic in the sense that they stem from plants. Stay away from the obvious: deep fried food, fast food, food made with heavy oils, msg, watch your salt intake levels but don’t exclude it entirely because our body does need sodium (but it does cause bloating and could increase any current health problems you may already have ie. HBP so just contact your physician if anything) and simply opt for an all natural sea salt instead of table salt. One secret that I do to help me eat my meats without heavy seasoning (poultry etc.) is clean it with sea salt and wash it off. The salt soaks into the meat, still leaving it tender and savory when cooked. =]Also consider starting off your day with "good carbs" in the morning like:sweet potato, greek yogurt (more nutrients & less fat than normal yogurt) with fruit, cereals (kashi, special k, cherrios) with fruit, 3 egg whites, ½ cup of oatmeal (non-flavored/original) with 1 teaspoon of honey or agave nectar and fruit, cottage cheese and fruit or jam, etc.. and stick with lower carbs like veggies and protein the rest of the day...(chicken breast, lean turkey meat, fish: tuna, tilapia, halibut, salmon, mahi mahi) seasoned only with options like mrs.dash, spike seasoning, garlic powder, lemon, light sea salt (if needed), cilantro, onion, and black pepper. Cayene pepper is also a great seasoning because it increases blood flow to certain tissues in our body in order to help our fatty acids to burn. And just as a side tip, caffeine also increases the release of unneccesary fat from what our body stores in stubborn areas. Also remember to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Can't stress that enough. In order to gain lean muscle (toning up), make sure that your diet does have a sustainable amount of protein. I usually do 3 egg whites in the morning, 2 protein shakes (1 before lunch and 1 post workout) and at least 4 oz of chicken or fish for lunch/dinner. Hope that helps! Good luck to you

No. Dieting causes you to lose weight all over. But not necessarily in proportion. So if you have a big butt and a big gut, you may lose more gut than butt. Or maybe thigh, even if you don't really need to. It's not very controllable, even with exercise. Which, by the way, you don't need to do to lose weight. You should exercise, but it's mainly for all over health and not weight loss. It takes a lot of exercise to burn calories. Most people don't have that much time available to devote to it.
